About TangeMusic
I'm not the kind of person who enjoys selling themself. Introverts, yep, just wish you would take things as they are, love it, and not need all the details - but that doesn't happen. So...
TangeMusic is currently a one man band from start to finish, hailing from Gloucester, England, but mostly without the west-country accent. Yes, I write the music and the lyrics, I record it all, mix it all, I put the website, artwork and all of the social media together in my spare time (I have a regular job as well...), and I do not have a God complex. At least...I don't think I do. Jack of all trades, master of none - that's me.
I use my good friend and (currently) former band mate as a sounding board. We released an album together in 2013. My main influences over the years, which you may be able to hear in my music, have been Feeder, QOTSA, Foo Fighters, The Offspring, Blink-182, The Cult, Soundgarden, UNKLE, Muse (pretty much just Origin of Symmetry, tbh), and many others that have also played a part in shaping my musical tastes.
Since mid-2014 I have been writing and recording tracks with the intent of releasing another album at some point, and some point is finally here. TangeMusic, as a name, only came into existence in 2022. It is, however, the culmination of 21 years of songwriting in one songs case, with most of the guitar parts of first single PURSUIT being the very first things I ever wrote. On the other hand, IN PLAIN SIGHT is the quickest song I've ever written, in one hour, and recorded in a couple of days. CONVERSATIONS was released in September 2022, with several more months work going in to completing the first album from TangeMusic.

The kit I use right now pretty much consists of just an Apple Mac running Logic Pro X, Fender and Gibson electric guitars, an Ibanez bass, a Behringer preamp, an AKG mic and my voice. I have never performed live (unless you count to two housemates in 2006) and, whilst I'm not a performer unless I've got 4+ strong alcoholic drinks inside me, I certainly won't rule it out if things were to go well here.
And so it came to be, in July 2023, that ENGINE finally released on streaming platforms worldwide. 9 tracks that have taken hundreds of hours of work, plus the artwork and videos put together to go with them.
